One of the main technical differences in the Chinese weightlifting methodology is the how much harder the lats need to work in the clean to bring the bar to the power position. The timing has to be exact. Sweep in too early and you’ll knock the bar with the hips. Sweep in late and the hips come forward to chase the bar.
I started my practice today with some first pulls to the power position and then tried matching the same tempo of the sweep during my “no feet narrow stance power cleans” with the goal being to demonstrate control over the movement and reaction time under the bar. @wuchuanfu @iamjwjw
