Great little write up by Coach Wu on the Chinese fast pull. It’s been a sensation since its introduction into the exercise selection pool. I see athletes incorporating this movement into their training regiment everywhere I go. Just remember that when you are fast pulling (fa li la) that the feeling of the rhythm should match that of your snatch and clean, otherwise, you are just pulling for the sake of pulling and the transferability will be diminished.
SWF: Why the Chinese people love to do this-Fa Li La -? Because this whole movement is full of rhythm and strength, including the timing, it is almost like the snatch, We can use this movement (similar to snatch) but can using more weight than the snatch to stimulate our muscles and strength (only in this movement). Like I say : just nice and enjoying the rhythm.
