This quote really resonates with me when it comes to simplifying concepts. I often find athletes can get too lost in the technical details too early in the game.

For a novice weightlifter, my goal is to establish a fundamental understanding for the rhythm of weightlifting and leave the more colorful details of technical nuances for a little later down the line.

Only once the novice weightlifter has developed this feeling of flow, will I then come in and start to fill in more details.

The aim, for me, is always to keep the athlete moving, improving and not to get too lost in the sauce.
