Had a great two weeks at the #ZhuhaiWLcamp learning from Coach Wu Jian Lin (@zhu917).
Coach Jian Lin is the head of the Zhuhai Sports School Training Department and also the head coach of the Weightlifting team.
He is regarded by his peers as one of the most experienced and skilled Weightlifting coaches in China. He started training when he was 9 years old and moved up to Junior National level at 16 years old. Competing as a 69kg lifter, he is a National Champion and also a Silver medallist at the World Junior Championships. In training, he has personal bests of Snatch @ 157kg and Clean & Jerk @ 200kg.
He retired from active competition at 25 and has been involved in coaching for the past 10 years. As part of his role in developing future champions, he is constantly in contact with the Senior and National coaches. Many of his athletes/students are highly sought after by province and national level coaches; this stems from the fact that his athletes have very well developed technique and movement.
I count myself fortunate to be under his tutelage. Big thanks to Coach @wuchuanfu for introducing me to his brother-in-training. Training is leveling up!
