Carl Paoli (@carlpaoli) caring about his performance this morning in 830AM class. Having strong and stable shoulders translates well into pulling speed and mechanics under the bar along with being able to rack a barbell securely on/over the shoulders.
Here Carl is exaggerating the deficit push-up by leaning his shoulders well over his wrists to emphasize loading of this joint.
Pro Tip from Carl: pull your shoulders back and then reach as far forward as you can until you run out of room.
