Coach Wu (@wuchuanfu) hitting full extension. It is this extension that allows the athlete to transfer the power fully from the legs to the barbell. The frame on the left is a still frame of a jumping drill Coach Wu uses to train the motor pattern of the extension which matches similarly to his snatch extension in the right frame.
Along with teaching the body how to be more powerful (at the right timing), jumping in Chinese weightlifting methodology is also viewed as a form of relaxation and recovery.
