A closer look at the Chinese Pull:

.

1. Teaches an athlete the timing of the extension into the pull under/reversal under the bar using proper back and arm involvement.

2. Builds confidence for the athlete helping them clearly see how they handle driving higher weights.

3. Most importantly, for those practicing a more Chinese-style pull, allows the athlete to feel how far forward of their base they can be without actually tipping forward.

I saved the best for last! I’m so proud and honored work along side these two on a daily basis. Watching their dedication and hard work each and everyday towards practicing their craft is inspiring to everyone around them. These two moved well from start to finish and made all 3 attempts in Event 1 (hang snatch) at the NorCal Regionals. Congratulations Lisa Warren and Courtney Walker for closing out a great season!
